Artist Statement:

Art is created by making decisions, both good and bad. My experiences throughout life and the perspective I've gained is what molds my mind into creating each piece. Consistently learning with each stroke.

My goal is to honor and highlight revolutionary and creative people of color throughout history and express my own spiritual journey through art. Using mostly shape, color, and bold lines, I craft abstracted yet emotionally accurate representations that celebrate our self identities and legacies.

I hope to connect to other people of color through shared, knowledge, heritage and energy… reminding us of the power, beauty, and joy we carry within ourselves amidst...
